SGA relies on the generosity of private donors to meet the
challenging and
ever-changing needs of our clients and their communities. Funds from individuals, corporations and foundations account for nearly half of our annual budget.
Download the donation form or donate online to make a gift to SGA.
Please contact Les Inch, Vice President of Resource Development & Planning, (312) 447-4324 or email linch@sga-youth.org if you would like to discuss a donation.
Cash Gifts
Support on-going therapy and prevention programs for Chicago's youth with a
contribution by check or credit card. In addition, another way of giving is
by honoring a friend or remembering a loved one, and your gift is even more
meaningful and special.
Matching Gifts
Ask about your employer's matching gifts program to double or triple your
gift.
Gifts of Appreciated Stock
A winning proposition: the agency benefits from the gift while the donor
receives a tax deduction and avoids appreciation taxes.
Corporate/Foundation Giving
There are many ways corporations and foundations can help SGA:
restricted program grants, operating contributions, corporate sponsorships
and in-kind contributions, to name a few. We also work closely with private
donors to create programs that meet the pressing needs of youths, their
families and communities.
Please contact Tyler St. Peter TStPeter@sga-youth.org, Manager of Foundations and Corporations, to learn more about corporate/foundation giving opportunities.
Annual Benefit
Each spring, SGA holds a major fund raising event to benefit the
agency's programs and services. Call the agency at 312.663.0305 or e-mail
at admin@sga-youth.org for more
information on the 2009 Benefit.
Bequest
Remember SGA Youth & Family Services in your will or living trust.
Ask your attorney to add a codicil to your will or an amendment to your
trust designating the agency as a recipient of a portion or all of your
assets.
Beneficiary of IRA, Insurance Policy Pension
Name SGA as the end-of-life beneficiary of
your retirement account, life insurance policy or pension. Your designation
of SGA as beneficiary of an IRA, for example, will eliminate not only
potential estate taxes, but also the adverse income taxes your family
members or other beneficiaries would have to pay.
Endowment Gifts
Make a one-time or planned gift to SGA's endowment. Your gift ensures
the future of the agency, and interest each year aids agency operations.
Gifts from Trusts
Consult your attorney and SGA about establishing a trust whereby you
benefit during your lifetime and SGA benefits upon your death.
SGA is a non-profit, charitable organization. All
gifts to the agency are tax deductible to the extent provided by law. All
gifts are appreciated and will be used properly.
